About Me

I am a sewist and the former General Manager and co-owner of a worker co-operative sewing business called The Makehouse Co-op (now closed). My “checkered” work past includes being a social worker with people with hearing loss, a health food store cashier manager, a worker at a food co-op, and an assistant to the Director of a Community Health Centre.

I gratefully live on the beautiful traditional and unceded territories of the Lekwungen speaking people, represented by the Songhees First Nation and Esquimalt First Nation AKA Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

I live with my partner (who also sews!) and our beloved rescue dog, Neko.
